Manufacturing Labourer Afternoon Shift

Job Description
We are currently hiring Manufacturing team members for one of our local clients in the Orillia area on afternoon shift. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 3 pm to 11 pm.
Pros to this position are:
- Afternoon Shift, No early mornings
- Full time hours and one steady shift
- $1.50/hr shift premium
- Benefit package & wage increase of $1.00/hr given by client at time of permanent hire
- Weekly Pay, Overtime after 44 hours
- Training provided
- Working on an assembly line in different departments
- Making parts, cables, elements
- Placing shorter pieces of metal into large machines stretching and lengthening it to make longer/thinner lengths of cable
- Working with bigger machines
- Winding lengths of finished cable on a big machine to wrap
- Moving product to Carts
- Testing and quality control
- Maintaining timelines
- Making products to set specifications
- Keeping work area tidy and clean
- Adhering to workplace health and safety
- CSA approved steel toed boots
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, twisting
- Ability to use micrometers
- Reliability/Good attendance
- Ability to follow direction and a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Previous manufacturing experience an asset
- Must be available to train on day shift Mon-Fri 7am to 3pm for min 1 week
