Role Summary



We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic Manufacturing team. This role is integral to maintaining and improving XSENSOR's production processes through preventive maintenance, process optimization, new product introduction, and quality collaboration.

Key Responsibilities



Preventive Maintenance (15%)



Develop and maintain the preventive maintenance schedule for all production and test equipment. Ensure all equipment calibration and performance meet ISO17025 requirements. Partner with Quality and R&D to ensure traceability and compliance across all critical tools.

Manufacturing Process & Continuous Improvement (50%)



Drive LEAN manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, yield, and waste reduction. Design, fabricate, and maintain manufacturing jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve efficiency and ergonomics. Maintain and update process documentation, work instructions, and job aids. Deliver technical training to operators and technicians to ensure consistent process execution. Support implementation of automation and advanced manufacturing methods (e.g., 3D printing, laser machining).

New Product Introduction (20%)



Participate in DFM reviews and collaborate with R&D to ensure manufacturability of new sensor products. Develop and validate new assembly processes and test procedures for product launches. Contribute feedback on product design for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Quality & Problem Solving (15%)



Partner with Quality to resolve process and product quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions. Support non-conformance investigations and implement process controls to prevent recurrence. Contribute to ISO9001/17025/13485 compliance through documentation and validation support.

Qualifications



Education:



Post-secondary degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.

Experience:



3-5 years in a LEAN manufacturing environment. 2-5 years managing manufacturing or process improvement projects. Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems preferred. Skilled in fixture design and prototyping; familiarity with 3D printing and CO? laser equipment an asset. Proficient with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent). Experience in ISO17025, ISO9001, or ISO13485 environments preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
