Under broad supervision, provides day to day support to production on Manufacturing Engineering related matters to ensure availability for assembly processes & equipment to collaborate on Production's metrics & goal achievement, meeting the applicable Safety, Quality, Health & Environmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.


This role reports to the Plant Manager and is based in

Concord, Vaughan

.

It is 100% based in office.




Key Responsibilities:

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality and safety across production lines. Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide technical support to resolve complex production issues, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA). Lead the implementation of new equipment, tooling, and process technologies to support current and future product lines. Partner with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and smooth transition of new products (NPI) into production. Analyze process capability, cycle times, and workflow to identify and eliminate bottlenecks. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives across assigned areas. Support compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory certifications (ASME, ISO, etc.). Mentor junior engineers and students, sharing best practices and technical expertise. Prepare cost analyses and justification for capital equipment or process changes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

6-8 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.

Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems.

Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong background in hydraulic systems is a must.

Solid experience with tooling and fixturing is a must.

Familiarity with CNC machining (preferred). Familiarity with welding procedures (preferred). ASME or ISO9001 exposure (preferred). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $88K / yr - $98k/yr
