The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing production processes. This position focuses on technical leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for operational excellence, but will not have direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve production efficiency and product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering to resolve manufacturing issues. Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Support new product introductions by developing and validating manufacturing processes. Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed. Participate in capital equipment selection and justification. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues. Other job duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis tools.
