Job Description

Ritz Plastics is looking for hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer\'s to support the activities of the Production and Engineering Departments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the implementing, developing and improving manufacturing methods and plans within our organization. Duties/Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, \xc2\xb7 Facilitate and implement resource planning, \xc2\xb7 Design of workstations, assembly equipment, and robotic tooling, \xc2\xb7 Confer with product development regarding new product design and tooling to ensure safe and efficient production methods, \xc2\xb7 Participate in product launch activities including tooling and process qualification and work instructions, \xc2\xb7 Participate in product trouble shooting to implement containment activities, identify root causes and implement corrective actions. \xc2\xb7 Facilitate and support production with regard to tooling. \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Knowledge: \xc2\xb7 A degree or diploma from an engineering discipline is required. \xc2\xb7 3-5 years experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks, etc.). \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the injection moulding process including tooling and equipment. \xc2\xb7 2-4 years experience using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). \xc2\xb7 Very strong communication and interpersonal skills. \xc2\xb7 Candidate must possess good project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects. \xc2\xb7 Candidates with previous experience in a plastic injection moulding environment will be considered an asset.
