About the Role



At Oxygen8, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a mature manufacturing facility and create novel processes, aligning with our goal to become a world-class manufacturer of premium Air Handling and Ventilation equipment.This role provides endless possibilities for growth and development within a fast-paced and expanding company. Key Responsibilities



Work closely with the ME team, Production and Engineering to support:

Prototype builds and process development. Improve current production process capability and repeatability through the optimization of existing manufacturing processes. Conduct time studies, identify capacity constraints and opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs. Implementing 5S rules. Development and maintaining manufacturing documentation. Updates and collaborates on overall plant layout. Investigates any new concepts or ideas that could improve any aspect specific to manufacturing/production. Work with Supply Chain to manage product inventory and ensure proper inventory levels.

Focus Areas



Process Improvement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement enhancements in current manufacturing processes, ensuring increased efficiency, productivity, and capacity.

New Product Introduction:

Engage in the development and integration of new products into the manufacturing process, ensuring seamless transitions and adherence to quality standards.

Facility Development:

Contribute to the planning and establishment of new facilities to meet the growing demands of the North American market, ensuring scalability and operational excellence.

Innovation:

Develop and implement novel processes and techniques to produce high-quality products, addressing the aggressive growth targets set by the company.

Experience and Skills



Engineering or Technical Degree in progress Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and highly organized Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Minimum 1yr experience as a ME working directly on process development or equivalent role Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment in a hands-on position Team player with positive attitude, excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills Excellent ability to multitask and work efficiently within deadlines Willingness to learn and be part of a dynamic team environment

Annual Salary:



$65,000 to $75,000 based on experience.

Location and Schedule:



On site 40 hours per week at our South Burnaby office and occasionally at our East Vancouver office Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (TBD)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
