Foremost has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Data Coordinator located at our facility in
Calgary, Alberta
. This position will be responsible for meeting the Bill of Material, Work Order, Document Control and shop floor needs in order to support engineering, production, part sales and technical service for Calgary North. Activities related to the entire flow of work from receiving drawings from engineering, to making and adjusting bill of materials, to generating, scheduling and releasing work orders to the shop floor as well as closing work orders after completion.
Responsibilities:
Create electronic files of drawings for purchasing.
Assist in scanning and compiling part certification documents.
Maintain material certification and other records in the system and filing documents.
Documenting hose lists.
Print engineering drawings for the shop floor.
Action the MRP report for all production, and stock requirements.
Action the .FC-Non WO Backordered Sales Report to issue work orders for Part Sales.
Release work orders to the shop floor after the release of each capital job.
Troubleshoot work orders in the system.
Track, find, create and cancel work orders as required.
Open rework, work orders for the quality department.
Close work orders in the system.
Coordinate with Production & Purchasing for shortages of rush parts.
Updating parts in Visibility and reporting.
Read drawings, enter and revise engineering BOM's in Vis.
Update production BOM on work orders, inventory and issued parts.
Update parts in Vis as per Engineering and/or Purchasing or Production.
Support other team members.
Assist shop personnel and part sales with their requests.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
A post-secondary education or have a high school diploma.
Experience and knowledge working in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
Previous administrative experience considered an asset.
2-3 years of experience in a BOM, document control and materials management.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Strong team player that is highly customer service oriented.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Be able to work with tight deadlines and work under pressure.
Knowledge and experience working with ERPs and Microsoft Office
