Manufacturing Coordinator
(Support 24/5 operations, following a biweekly rotation
Between 3 shifts: Monday - Friday)Contract Pharmaceuticals Limited is a contract manufacturer and packager of prescription and over the counter pharmaceutical products. To coordinate manufacturing activities, and ensure material availability, transfer and staging for manufacturing processes.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides timely front-line support by coordinating preparedness of daily manufacturing schedule related requirements for batches, including supporting development/demo, clinical, registration and validation batches.
  • Performs assigned tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) requirements confirming strict adherence to safe work practices and procedures, focusing on "Safety First" approach, and performing GMP/Housekeeping inspections.
  • Fulfills manufacturing schedule requirements, ensuring timely MWO and material availability. Transfers materials and equipment to respective work centers.
  • Coordinates with Supervisors and Planning/Scheduling team to proactively prepare the upcoming activity related needs, including material availability, MWO and releases.
  • Reviews logbooks and log sheets periodically to support "RFT" objectives.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities in preparation for internal, customer and regulatory audits, and assists in investigations of non-conformances.
  • Confirms the readiness of all manufacturing equipment, including the equipment are maintained properly prior to use and request repairs, when needed by issuing Maintenance Requests and follow up on completion of the requests.
  • Participates in Lean and CI projects. Assists in the implementation of CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiencies in manufacturing department
  • Assists Production Management in developing and communicating batch/materials readiness related metrics, tracking KPI's, and acts as a designate of the Supervisors.
  • Performs daily safety and functional inspection of all Material handling equipment
  • Operates manual or automated lifting devices in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Note: Candidate must have the flexibility for 3 Shift operations (Mon - Friday)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Incumbent must have a University degree preferably, in a Science or Engineering field
  • Ability to qualify for AQPIC certification is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 to 5 years work experience in a cGMP/pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food production with a good understanding of HPFBI and FDA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented, forward looking, reliable and comfortable to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Strong and proficient working knowledge in computer systems and MS Office applications. Experience in SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Previous experience with manual and electrical lift trucks would be an asset.
  • Ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Able to lift and move moderately heavy or awkward objects and skids.
  • Repetitive hip and upper body twisting movements.
  • Frequent lifting and lowering product cases between floor and chest levels.
  • Exposure to noise levels that require hearing protection.
  • Plant conditions, including working with computers.
  • Ability to operate computers and relevant inventory management computer software.
  • Plant presence requires use of protective equipment, such as safety glasses, uniform, respirator (when needed), hairnets, hearing protection and appropriate footwear.
  • Some flexibility in hours of work to address customer delivery demands outside of normal workday.
