Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and eager Manual Lathe Machinist to join the Red Dragon team. This role is critical for hydraulic cylinder repair. The ideal person for this position would have experience in manual machining and strong mechanical knowledge. This role expects attention to detail, focus, time management and assurance of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Set-up & operate manual lathes & mill -cylinder rods, rethreading, custom parts based off samples

Clean & deburr finished parts

Maintain, clean & upkeep machines in proper condition

Detailed notes on each job

Work with others in the shop to reduce time on jobs, improve skills and maintain a safe working environment

Abide by all safety precautions and procedures

Education/Skills

Previous manual machining experience

Journeyman certification an asset

Knowledge & experience using a variety of measuring instruments (callipers, gauges, micrometers etc.)

Strong math skills

Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Self-motivated, eager & able to work

Previous hydraulic repair experience would be a definite asset.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
