to join our team in the heavy metal fabrication department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate
manual brake press machines
to bend, form, and shape heavy gauge metals.
Read and interpret
blueprints, drawings, and work orders
to determine specifications and requirements.
Select, align, and secure
dies, tooling, and material
for each job.
Measure workpieces and verify dimensions using
calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments
.
Adjust machine settings to achieve desired bends and tolerances.
Perform
routine maintenance
and ensure the machine is in safe operating condition.
Handle and move large metal sheets safely using
hoists, cranes, or other lifting devices
.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with
health and safety standards
.
Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet
production goals and quality standards
.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
operating a manual brake press in a metal fabrication environment.
Strong knowledge of
metal types, thicknesses, and bending properties
.
Ability to
read technical drawings
and use precision measuring tools.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical ability to lift and handle heavy materials.
Knowledge of
shop safety procedures
and PPE usage.
Work Environment:
Industrial manufacturing/fabrication setting.
Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
