Summary
We are seeking a passionate, engaging, and compassionate individual to join our team as a MANDT Trainer. In this role, you will receive full certification and support to deliver the MANDT System - a relationship-based, trauma-informed approach to workplace safety, crisis prevention, and de-escalation. The successful candidate will complete MANDT instructor training and go on to facilitate learning sessions for Integra employees across multiple sites, promoting a culture of dignity, respect, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Promote a culture of safety, dignity, and respect across all levels of the organization
Reinforce trauma-informed and person-centered approaches to conflict prevention and de-escalation
Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, completion, and recertification dates
Ensure training materials, presentations, and content remain current and consistent with MANDT guidelines
Provide support and guidance to staff regarding the application of MANDT principles in daily practice
Collaborate with managers, HR, and leadership teams to identify training needs and support continuous learning
Participate in ongoing professional development and internal safety initiatives
Traveling between Victoria, Duncan and Comox to facilitate training sessions
Skills
Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a calm and approachable demeanor
Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment
Knowledge of trauma-informed, person-centered, and positive behaviour support principles
Ability to adapt training methods to meet diverse learning needs and styles
Organizational and record-keeping skills to track certifications and training sessions
Confidence in handling sensitive topics with professionalism and empathy
Collaborative and team-oriented, with a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
Grade 12 required; minimum of a diploma or certificate in a field related to human services, or experience in a related field preferred
Experience in training, facilitation, or adult education preferred
Background in community support, social services, health care, or related field considered an asset
Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centered practices
Willingness to complete MANDT Instructor Certification (provided by Integra)
TB Test
BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between sites as needed
