The Opportunity

Working with the Global Head of Business Enablement Services for KPMGI, this role is focused on establishing, building and leading a transformation effort to standardize and bring best practice product management to our global product teams.Importanbtly, this is a central enabling team that sits independently of product managers that will support them and their leadership in the management of KPMGI\'s global solutions.

You will make the case for change, demonstrating the business benefits of a common product management approach and rigor, lead the rapid assessment of current state gaps across teams and work with product teams in the development KPMG custom approaches while coaching them through challenges. You will establish yourself as an SME to the organization and champion building your internal network with leadership. You will develop a transformation strategy and lead the day today activities of your strategy as you establish this new function. Once successfully established at the end of year one,you will the propose an efficient operating model with which to ensure the continue devolution and improvement of KPMGI\'s product management approach.The outcome and success of your efforts will be measured in the meaningful improvements to the firm\'s portfolio of products and the effectiveness of product teams.This is a unique role and entrepreneural in nature as it is an opportunity to establish yourself as key enabler of our global product portfolio. #LI-Hybrid

What you will do

Work closely with product management teams to understand their needs and opportunities for improvement. Define & implement the strategy for establishing product management at KPMGI. Guide your stakeholders in defining best practices, developing the right templates and make sure product managers have access to tools,data and resources that help product managers to more rapidly deliver market driven products

  • Leads an ongoing co development of process and operating model design in the global products / solutions organizations in collaboration with global product teams and their leadership
  • Ensuring collaboration and co creation of content ( templates ,tools ,training materials, job descriptions) with the Global Functions, key countries in the Global Network and other relevant CoE\'s in the global solutions community
  • Responsible for senior stakeholder and communication management across the Global Network in relation to product management activities
  • Oversees project management, governance, risk management, and change management aspects of deliverables and department activities
  • Leads relationship and contract management with 3\xc2\xb0 party consultants
  • Is an SME on the best practice Product Management techniques (Agile, Data driven ,rapid iterations, etc.)
Onboard and coach those in the product management role,including those coming into the role on a temporary basis or as long-term product managers. Develop a continuing education program for product management best practices
  • Works as a coach and advisor to solution teams and their leadership in the development of the product manager role at KPMGI
  • Influences team structure, operating model and role descriptions across groups 10 Drive cultural change and transformation for product management through the organization
  • Maintain continued momentum across the network and support KPMGI teams and KPMG firms with embedding an end to end product management approach
  • Develop an adoption strategy and framework with which to bring about the transformation of KPMGI\'s product management capability maturity
  • Plan and execute the required change and awareness activities across all key communities to ensure successful adoption and resolve resistance as necessary
  • Establish process guidance for all groups and teams (solution team,marketing teams,communication teams,sales teams)
Build and manage a product enablement team to support product management best practices in the organization
  • Team leadership, performance management, and people matters champion
  • Budget management & reporting
  • Serves as a member of the Business Enablement Services leadership team
  • Participates in cross department initiatives such as recognition programs, team building events, All Hands calls, GPS action plans,etc

What you bring to the role


  • At least 10 years career experience and or
  • At least 10 years doing Product Management work in companies that use modern product management techniques (Agile, Data driven, rapid iterations,etc.)
  • 3-5 years in a Product Management leadership role
  • Proven ability to drive consensus with senior cross-functional stakeholders in ac omplex organizational structure
  • Proven ability to influence executive leadership
  • Knowledge of IT,software development trends and best practices(Though this is not a technical role)
  • Experience in a professional services or related environment (recommended)
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Expertise/mastery of product management technique - Agile, Concept Testing, Prototyping, Rapid Iteration, A/B testing, Feasibility Analysis, Market Research,Product Operations,etc.
  • Ability to design and deliver product management training appropriate to difference audiences in a virtual environment
  • Ability to develop graphics, charts, and dashboards to simplify complex program and financial data to bring insight appropriate to the audience
  • Ability to communicate and function in an internationally and culturally diverse setting
  • Strong project management skills
