About the role
This position has a
hybrid
work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.

The foundation of this transformation is built upon significant investments in core platforms, including Salesforce, SAP, Cloud Native architectures, sophisticated API integration patterns, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This commitment has resulted in a hybrid ecosystem that skillfully integrates both established and cutting-edge capabilities.
The Role's Mandate:
The Managing Director, Enterprise Architecture
is critical to guiding the enterprise as it strategically aligns its technological capabilities with future business models and strategic objectives. A core accountability will be to achieve the optimal balance between cost efficiency, organizational agility, and demonstrable business value.
Success in maximizing current and future business value will necessitate a strong, collaborative partnership and high-level alignment with ATB's Customer Experience and Technology Organization (CXT) portfolio to proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities for new value creation.
The Enterprise Architecture leader will be an active participant within the broader architecture and engineering community. This involves close collaboration with technology teams and business stakeholders to ensure that products and services are consistently developed and maintained in strict adherence to defined technological patterns, standards, and overarching business objectives.
Accountabilities
This role will assist in the establishment and guidance of technology domains and technology enabled business models. The primary responsibilities of the Enterprise Architecture leader are:
Managing a team responsible for:
Documenting current state and future state architecture
Developing and maintain capability models and technology roadmaps
Collaborate with risk teams to assist in identifying and analyzing business and IT risks
Managing the enterprise application portfolio inventory
Recommend solutions to improve the organization's IT infrastructure
Communicate the role of enterprise architecture to stakeholders
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in enterprise architecture
Skills, experience & requirements
Qualifications:
Experience in the financial industry
Bachelor's degree or related experience in computer science, information systems, or a related field
10+ years experience in corporate IT environments.
5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
Strong understanding of business and IT strategy
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience leading a team
Individual
Strong conceptual thinking skills
Collaborative, with a bias to achieving results
Effective at facilitating teamwork in a matrix organization and resolving conflict
Decisive when required
Adaptable
Strong communication skills, ability to present confidently to senior executives
Attention to detail and strong planning and management ability.
Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed organization.
