Job Description


This is key leadership position. Only candidates with at least 7 years of demonstrated and verifiable experience and success will be considered. Additionally, you must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Candidates with temporary work visas will not be considered. The Managing Broker / CEO of the Property Management Company plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within the British Columbia real estate market. This position requires a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge of property management, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of relevant local laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with all relevant real estate laws, regulations, and licensing requirements in British Columbia.
Stay abreast of changes in legislation and implement necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures accordingly. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of property managers, leasing agents, administrative staff, and maintenance personnel.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team. Property Management Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property management company, including leasing, maintenance, tenant relations, and financial reporting. Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline operations. Client and Tenant Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with property owners, investors, and clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met or exceeded. Address tenant concerns and issues promptly and professionally, maintaining a high level of tenant satisfaction. Financial Management: Monitor and manage the financial performance of properties under management, including budgeting, rent collection, expense control, and financial reporting.
Implement strategies to maximize property profitability and return on investment. Marketing and Tenant Acquisition: Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain quality tenants.
Conduct market research to stay informed about rental trends and adjust rental rates accordingly. Risk Management and Legal Compliance:Implement comprehensive risk management strategies to minimize potential liabilities and ensure the protection of property assets.
Handle legal matters related to property management, including evictions and dispute resolutions. Technology and Systems Integration:Leverage technology and software systems to enhance operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, and client communication. Reporting and Documentation:Generate regular reports on property performance, financial metrics, and other relevant KPIs for stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications:

  • Valid Managing Broker license issued by the Real Estate Council of British Columbia.
  • Extensive experience in property management, with a track record of successful leadership and team management.
  • Deep understanding of local real estate laws, regulations, and market trends.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in property accounting and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and make sound business decisions.
  • Proficiency in property management software and related technologies.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $125,000.00-$150,000.00 per year Benefits:
