Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Review balance sheet reconciliations on periodic basis to ensure all items are current.
  • Ensure all tasks within the functional area are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze, identify, and recommend process improvement and system modifications to increase productivity and efficiency in the department.
  • Plan and monitor the implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Understand and comply with the federal and provincial requirements (ie. International Financial Reporting Standards, Corporate Taxes, HST, PST) and remain up to date with all legislative changes.
  • Plan and manage all talent management activities in support of Loblaw programs and functional objectives:
  • Hiring and on-boarding employees.
  • Performance Management Activities \xe2\x80\x93 goal setting and cascading, completing mid and annual performance reviews, provides performance feedback, assigns performance ratings.
  • Coaches, mentors team members and offers feedback to foster openness, continuous learning, and a high-performance environment.
  • Various other duties as required.
The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and behaviors:
  • Minimum of 8 years previous applicable industry experience, or a combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Enrollment in an advanced level of the CPA program.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Outlook email.
  • General Accounting knowledge and strong analytical, problem solving, and reconciliation skills are a must.
  • Proven people management & coaching experience; Looking for an individual with a passion to work with people.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask daily activities in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be able to manage priorities effectively.
  • Individual must lead by example, demonstrating a determined, energetic, and positive approach.
  • Proven record of leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills using a variety of media dependent on the situation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Planifier et g\xc3\xa9rer toutes les activit\xc3\xa9s de gestion du talent en soutien aux programmes et aux objectifs fonctionnels de Loblaw :
  • Embauche et int\xc3\xa9gration des employ\xc3\xa9s.
  • Activit\xc3\xa9s de gestion de la performance \xe2\x80\x93 \xc3\xa9tablissement et transmission des objectifs, r\xc3\xa9alisation des \xc3\xa9valuations de la performance annuelles et semestrielles, r\xc3\xa9troaction sur la performance, attribution des cotes de performance.
  • Encadrer les membres de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe et agir comme mentor, et offrir de la r\xc3\xa9troaction pour favoriser l\xe2\x80\x99ouverture, la formation continue et un environnement de haut niveau.
  • S\xe2\x80\x99acquitter d\xe2\x80\x99autres t\xc3\xa2ches au besoin.
Le candidat ou la candidate doit d\xc3\xa9montrer les comp\xc3\xa9tences et les comportements suivants :
  • Au moins 8 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience ant\xc3\xa9rieure pertinente dans l\xe2\x80\x99industrie, ou \xc3\xa9ventuellement combinaison d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9tudes et d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience.
  • Inscription \xc3\xa0 un niveau avanc\xc3\xa9 d\xe2\x80\x99un programme CPA.
  • Ma\xc3\xaetrise de la suite Microsoft Office, particuli\xc3\xa8rement les feuilles de calcul Excel, les documents Word et les courriels Outlook.
  • Connaissance g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rale de la comptabilit\xc3\xa9 et solides comp\xc3\xa9tences en analyse, en r\xc3\xa9solution de probl\xc3\xa8mes et en rapprochement.
  • Exp\xc3\xa9rience reconnue en gestion de personnel et en encadrement; recherche d\xe2\x80\x99une personne qui a la passion de travailler avec les gens.
  • Excellentes capacit\xc3\xa9s d\xe2\x80\x99organisation et de gestion du temps, sens des priorit\xc3\xa9s et capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 mener plusieurs t\xc3\xa2ches quotidiennes dans un environnement exigeant.
  • Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 travailler sous pression, \xc3\xa0 respecter des \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9ances serr\xc3\xa9es et \xc3\xa0 g\xc3\xa9rer efficacement les priorit\xc3\xa9s.
  • La personne doit montrer l\xe2\x80\x99exemple en adoptant une approche d\xc3\xa9termin\xc3\xa9e, \xc3\xa9nergique et positive.
