What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
The position of Manager Vendor Relations is a key role within FGL Sports ensuring that new and current vendor agreements are adhered to. The role requires the ability to work across many cross functional departments to ensure the continuity of vendor agreements, vendor set up processes and the measurement of vendor performance, revenues and integrated partnerships.
Develop and implement business strategies to maximize revenue potential for FGL on an annual basis
Responsible for all Vendor Relationship management functions, as well as external and internal communications
Manage vendor revenues and measure vendor performance against expected vendor policy agreements (VPA), key performance indicators, and execute against both
Key point of contact for all merchandising new vendor set ups and developing vendor negotiation plans
Work with merchandising group and vendors to ensure the yearly renewal process for VPA\xe2\x80\x99s are signed within specified timeframe and provide coaching and motivational support, when negotiating
In conjunction with finance, plan and deliver yearly and quarterly vendor revenue budgets
Provide monthly revenue targets and associated initiatives to Senior Management on overall supplier revenue performance and trends
Provide each FGL advertising banner (corporate and franchise) with yearly expenditures to ensure advertising billing is correct and ads are executed as per terms of VPA\xe2\x80\x99s
Initiate with each FGL Accounts Payable department (corporate and franchise) to ensure timely, accurate payments and audit annually to guarantee compliance as per VPA\xe2\x80\x99s
Direct contact and escalation point for vendors when VPA concerns arise and partner with accounting, merchandising, marketing, AVP\xe2\x80\x99s and VP\xe2\x80\x99s to compile, analyze, and deliver resolutions
Responsible for providing guidance and direction to Vendor Relations analyst
Maintain Vendor relations manual and train/inform the merchandising group on current VPA processes and strategies
Support leadership to assess vendor\xe2\x80\x99s policy agreements and purchases
Ensure the Supplier Code of Business Conduct (SCBC) is signed by each of FGL\xe2\x80\x99s merchandise vendors
Complete special projects, on an as needed basis, as requested by Senior Leadership
Manage and lead vendor engagement around performance management, strategic planning and amplification of vendor partnerships
What you bring
Background in the retail industry, merchandising, or supply chain management
Demonstrated negotiation skills, analytical skills, oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential while adhering to important fiscal deadlines
Ability to prioritize workload and drive multiple projects
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management
Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivates teams to achieve results
Flexibility to partner with and negotiate with various personality types at all levels within and outside the organization
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite are required, knowledge of PMM and AS400 is an asset
Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
