The Utility Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of utility services, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. This role involves managing a team, coordinating projects, and implementing best practices in utility management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in utility operations.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of utility services, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Manage and train staff in rigging, bucket operation, and the use of bucket trucks for utility maintenance tasks.
Oversee Foreman and UTTS completing maintenance activities, ensuring that safe production methonds are maintained.
Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and managing utility infrastructure.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize service delivery and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate projects related to utility improvements and community services.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
Prepare reports on operational performance, maintenance activities, and project progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience in utility management or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of techniques, GIS applications, and bucket truck operations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in operational processes.
Strong computer skills and spreadsheet competency.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team while contributing to the efficient management of essential utility services within the community.
Skilled in VMRs (Vegetation Management Reports) is considered an asset.

Pay: $80,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
