Ensures safety is the priority and that all activities are conducted in accordance with quality, health, safety and environmental management system as well as corporate and local policies.
Oversee the processing, validation and approval of all transportation invoices
Ensure accurate freight billing, including correct application of rates, accessorials and fuel charges
Monitor and reconcile billing discrepancies, invoice errors and rate disputes
Maintain accurate transportation records by ensuring compliance with Brenntag policy.
Collaborate with Transportation Planning, Operations and Procurement improve carrier billing compliance
Benchmarks carrier performance with the objective of improving safety, delivery efficiencies and return on investment.
Support Operations with all rail related issues, such as site demurrage, disputing invoices and engaging CN/CP Account Reps whenever needed.
Create and maintain Transportation related SOP's.
Supervise, develop and performance manage a team of transportation and audit coordinators.
Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Proficient in logistics software; preferably SAP, TMS
Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
Highly organized and possesses effective time management skills
Knowledge of our national geography and route information

Post-Secondary Education; College Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration would be preferred
A good understanding of transportation billing practices, carrier contract and freight audit procedures. preferably in the Chemical Industry (5+ years)
Experience in transportation administration, freight audit or logistics billing (5+ years)
