As a Manager in our Mergers & Acquisitions team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting financial and commercial analysis of businesses and reporting on key findings and insights to support clients throughout the transaction process
Drafting and preparing Confidential Information Memorandums and other transaction documentation (such as teasers, strategic and financial buyers lists, financial models, financial forecasts and analysis reports, industry insights and analysis reports, proposals, etc.)
Preparing complex financial models for the purposes of sourcing and obtaining financial support, forecasting future business operations, and projecting potential shareholder returns, deal feasibility, and indicative valuation and structuring terms
Conducting detailed industry research relating to transaction preparation, financial modelling, pricing analysis, potential valuations, and strategic review engagements
Ensuring compliance to standard operating procedures and policies, and relevant legislation in all aspects of work
Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of the M&A transaction lifecycle and familiarity with general M&A deal terms
Providing input into deal structuring considerations and other strategic guidance that clients may require
Confidently recognizing, analyzing and commenting on critical transaction risks and potential mitigations
Participating in various business development initiatives (internal and external) including industry research and drafting of proposals, identifying new prospects, as well as attendance at various business development events in the deals / corporate finance / professional community
Participating in wider departmental responsibilities, including training, recruitment and/or people management
Being a key part of our team, supporting with all aspects of corporate finance related engagements, as needed

A CPA designation or MBA designation
4+ years' of direct M&A experience
Undergraduate degree in business with a concentration in finance or accounting
Proven track record of high academic achievement
Actively pursuing or willing to pursue an additional designation (i.e. CBV, CFA)
Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of financial statements as well as solid financial modelling capabilities
Proficiency with MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong business writing and communication skills
Detail oriented and ability to juggle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic environment
Strong problem solving skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Willingness to work through peak periods, as required
A strong desire to help clients succeed in all aspects of their operations
An interest in learning and understanding the business as a whole rather than just a piece of the process
The ability to talk to and meet with people at various levels throughout an organization
Enthusiasm for helping businesses grow and adding real value
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, seeing a project from start to finish
Access to a car and possession of a valid driver's license
