Requisition ID: 202308Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.Purpose:The Manager, Transaction Monitoring Strategy contributes to the overall success of Transaction Monitoring teams globally by supporting the Director, Global TM Operations in designing an effective strategy and roadmap to continuously enhance efficiency and effectiveness of TM teams.The mandate of the TM Strategy team is to develop and execute against a multi-year strategy that supports centralization, optimization, and automation of TM processes in Canada and GBS Campuses in support of the scope of Global TM Operations. Furthermore, the TM Strategy team supports the Director in exploring further opportunities to bring additional scope into GAML Ops, TM where appropriate offering support to new Business Lines previously not in scope..Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Supports the Director, Global TM in developing and executing against a multi-year strategy for centralization of TM, Triage globally
  • Supports the Director, Global TM in maintaining and developing new capacity/staffing forecast models to assess operational staffing needs based on historical volumes and forecasted volumes provided by AMA.
  • Support Business Case development and documentation for onboarding new TM scope to further support GBM and IB BLs, clearly identifying any benefits to the front-line Business Line.
  • Supports the onboarding, integration, planning, and execution of new TM scope, including new Business Line, Rules, volumes, or sources of work.
  • Develops and executes against an Operational Assessment program for all Campuses to identify areas of opportunity to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assists the Director, Global TM, TM leadership team, and QMT, in identifying areas of potential enhancement for teams in all three Campuses in order to effectively prepare Units for future Audit and/or Regulatory examinations.
  • Assists the Director, TM, and the TM leadership team in identifying and documenting areas of opportunity for process enhancement and/or automation. Liaises with partner teams to assess and recommend identified opportunities for approval and implementation, and assists in documenting realized benefits associated with the enhancements.
  • Ensures operational and reputational risks are duly managed from a Scotiabank Group perspective.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and report on key risk indicators and key performance indicators.
  • Develop reports which are concise, timely and provide value to stakeholders, including Senior Executive and Committee reporting.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We\'d love to work with you if you have:
  • Bachelor\'s degree (University Degree) with a minimum of 5-7 years\' experience in financial services.
  • Project Leadership experience ideally with remote teams
  • In-depth understanding of the Bank\'s operations and controls, including knowledge of organization and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Operational Risk, regulations, and internal policies & procedures impacting banking operations.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with numerous cross functional support areas and business line team members
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to deal with complex operational issues
