Position Summary

The Manager, Trade Relations will report into the National Director of Sales.

Position based at the Laval office ( 3 days at the office and 2 days working from home) and requires travel.

The Manager, Trade Relations is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships with our Canadian Wholesalers and pharmacy chains and banners in Qu\xc3\xa9bec. This individual will facilitate strategic brand partnerships across our portfolio of promoted products in addition to our mature portfolio.

Main responsibilities

Account Management - Retail Business

  • Management of major trade retail customers: Wholesalers, Pharmacy Chains and Banners (Professional Services)
  • Develop and execute plans aligned with strategic priorities of promoted portfolio as they related to chain pharmacy activities.
  • In collaboration with cross functional stakeholders, development of programs to support our brands at pharmacy level
  • Identify partnership opportunities for Rx line of products
  • Proactive lifecycle management responsibility for mature brands with key chains/banners
  • Key Customers agreements: analysis, monitoring, recommendations on strategy and actions
  • Key Customers business review meetings preparation and attendance
  • Product launch implementation - Manage communication plan with affiliated pharmacy members
  • Work with supply chain to manage inventory and forecasts for all brands
  • Stay current on pharmacy trends and regional/provincial opportunities and regulations
  • Attend major pharmacy events
Account Management - Wholesale Business
  • Management of major trade retail customers: Distributors and Pharmacy Chains
  • Key Customers agreements and reviews: Analysis, monitoring, recommendations on strategy and actions
  • Product Launch implementation - Listing and stocking
  • General communications: product discontinuations, product changes, supply issues, etc
  • Customer supply & inventory management: inventory monitoring, stock allocations, purchasing forecast recommendation, etc
Account Management - Hospital Business
  • Management of Hospital Request For Pricing (RFPs) and contract management with hospital Group Purchasing Organizations ( GPOs) to wholesale channel
  • RFP bidding analysis and submission process oversight
  • Contract/ Award debriefing and implementation: Internal and External with selected distributor
Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field
  • Bilingual English/french
  • Experience in Key Account Management specific with Canadian national pharmacy chains/banners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels
  • Strategic, partnership- based mindset
  • Strong collaboration, influence & negotiation skills
  • Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and project planning skills
  • Enjoys a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment
  • Travel required to manage National Accounts
