This role will lead the implementation and management of import and export system and other tools, with a focus on day-to-day operations, trade data and process governance, aligning with our global trade compliance program. This includes the application of technical customs knowledge, for continuous improvements of processes, data and documentation, record keeping, risk assessment and reporting. Governance will include testing accuracy and reporting.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Enhance import/export compliance framework, including the certificate of origin, export permits/ regulatory approvals, and documentation.
  • Manage CBSA CERS (export) and CARM (import) system and establish framework for records per statutory requirements, for First Sale, REX ID, CPTPP, Assist
  • Review and monitor the billings for duty and tax from couriers and brokers per incoterms.
  • Lead developing, implementing, and maintaining processes, procedures, and systems for exportation, including CI Management, ExportDocs, D365
  • Drive Continuous Improvements with internal teams, including Systems, Sourcing, Marketing, Product Development, Customer Experience, Transportation and Warehousing, for export documentation and trade compliance regulations.
  • Lead service level of external partners, including vendors, manufacturers, carriers, and customs brokers to enable compliance and speed to market, for global export.
  • Provide support for returning shipments including proof of export, audits, and cost management.
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to implement all necessary duties related to risk assessment in exportation.
  • Key liaison for support to Trade Compliance country managers\', and Global Trade Technology, on Trade and Strategic projects
Expected Outcomes:
  • Deliver seamless exportation operation management and a high level of regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively engage cross-functional departments to implement Traceability and Global Trade Management programs and systems.
  • Initiate and complete process improvements to gain efficiencies, reduce costs and gaps.
  • Build exceptional relationships with internal & external stakeholders, achieving compliance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment.
Let\'s Talk About You:
  • Bachelor or Diploma Degree in Business, Supply chain, Logistics and Customs
  • 5-10 years of trade compliance and logistics experience preferred in the apparel and footwear manufacturing Industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian import and export regulations, processes and systems.
  • Experience in global operating procedure development, reporting and audit support.
  • Preferred certification of CTCS or other globally recognized qualification
  • Familiar with drop ships, mode and lanes of global shipping, data and documents, time frames, ports, bonded warehouses, and instruments of international trade
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to educate, present project plans and gain \'buy-in\' from stakeholders.
  • Agile planning and detailed organizational skills to meet regulatory and business timelines.
  • Skilled at identifying gaps and presenting fact-based solutions for compliance and sustainability.
  • Ability to manage multi-geographical relationships within a multi-national organization.
