Job Description


This role is a hybrid work from home role requiring some time in the office as well as time traveling to the US to support the client group. Home office location is Mississauga or Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Director Talent & Organizational Development, the Manager Talent Development, will be the newest member of our high-performing Talent team. This newly created role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and measurement of Talent Management strategies for Superior Plus Propane (US Division). You will help develop, build, and implement solutions that support and strengthen or management teams. You will support Sr. leadership, operations management, and the identification and development of emerging leaders. This role will be the Talent SME supporting the US Leadership and HR teams.


You will be a part of the newly formed North American Talent Centre of Excellence (COE). You are passionate about our business success and developing people, the role understands the critical role Talent and OD plays in achieving business goals.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience supporting management and operations in a US operation
  • Ability to travel as required to the United States (20%) for face-to-face engagements
  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education, HR Management or other relevant field
  • 5 + years’ experience in a Talent and/or OD role
  • 2+ years’ experience managing others
  • Experience in developing and implementing talent strategies
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Experience supporting M&A integrations an asset
  • Certification in Psychometric assessments an asset
  • A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional problem solving, conflict resolution and listening skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Customer focused, with effective organizational skills to execute and deliver plans and commitments on time and on budget.
