As the Manager of Systems Engineering, you will lead a high performing team at the center of Systems Delivery activity and will inspire and empower a team of talented engineers to reach new heights.

You'll be the driving force behind assembling, empowering, and equipping exceptional engineering talent, working in an inclusive environment to bring our complex projects to life. With full ownership of team readiness and capability, you'll ensure the right people--with the right skills and tools--are in place to deliver standout results and push our technical vision forward.



Required skills & qualifications:



You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline and 10 years' experience in Systems Engineering with 5 or more years' experience in a management and leadership position. You are eligible to obtain and maintain NATO secret security clearance throughout the employment period. You have effectively managed a diverse team of professionals. You have experience with resource planning and forecasting. You have developed and maintained ISO processes and procedures. You have used Project scheduling tools, MS Office software, and Product Lifecycle Management Tools. You have demonstrated a strong ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure in fast paced environments while contributing effectively to management teams, maintaining excellent organization and attention to detail, and communicating clearly through outstanding oral and written skills.

What success will look like:



You will conduct planning for the Systems Engineering team to ensure that the necessary resources are available to allocate to projects in accordance with the company's overall business plan. You will ensure Systems Engineering team members have the required training, skills, tools, standards, processes and knowledge required for them to make delivery as part of their assigned project team. You'll initiate and sustain process improvement initiatives to ensure best practices are applied to Systems Engineering. You will engage with industry to maintain awareness of best practice. You will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to develop quality control procedures. You will drive, through Continuous Improvement, greater efficiency in the execution of activities. You will ensure that Company ISO 9001 and CMMI procedures and policies are maintained. You support the VP, Product Development in the development of detailed product road maps. You will mentor and support the Systems Engineering team by providing ongoing professional development, subject matter guidance when requested by project leadership, and ensuring effective onboarding for all team members.
