Length: 4 months Contract with high possibility of extension or conversion to perm
Location: Toronto, ON - Onsite
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5.00 PM

Requirements:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Business Delivery & Operational Effectiveness
Work closely with Treasury, Risk and Central finance (FPM) to ensure alignment in delivering reporting and analysis for the Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST) and Macro Stress Testing (MST). Participate as a Canadian P&C finance representative on the Integrated Scenario Analysis working group chaired by ERPM.
Develop detailed documentation of stress scenarios for Canadian P&C with input from Finance, Risk, and Canadian P&C businesses.
Ensure consistency of methodology and approach across various stress testing deliverables.
Work closely with other Canadian P&C Finance groups including planning and forecasting and revenue to ensure requirements for stress testing are built into quarterly and annual planning and forecasting requirements.
Work with Canadian P&C Finance teams including Revenue and Reporting teams to ensure process enhancements are being developed on a timely basis to meet stress testing requirements.
Prepare detailed responses to FPM/ERPM requests from OSFI related to EWST or MST. Ensure timely review by senior Finance executives.

2. Client & Relationship Management
Maintain relationships with FPM, Risk, Canadian P&C Business stakeholders and Canadian P&C Finance to ensure upcoming stress testing requirements are planned and communicated appropriately to ensure successful implementation.

3. Risk Management and Control
Ensure compliance with financial corporate governance requirements including policies, procedures, reporting requirements, performance metrics and internal controls.
Ensure adherence to all aspects of First Principles, Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Corporate Policy, as well as all applicable legislation, regulatory rules and requirements, and Bank standards, P&Ps for such things as potential conflicts of interest, safeguarding of customer information, trading in securities, anti-money laundering, privacy and disclosure of outside business activities.
Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained for both customer and Bank information to protect the customer and the Bank and to ensure compliance with Bank P&Ps.

4. Change & Innovation
Maintain an awareness of best practices to improve/refine processes that may increase productivity and/or correct any deficiencies.
Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure a continuous improvement mindset toward stress testing.
Ensure feedback from regulators is embedded in Canadian P&C stress testing processes.

5. Business Performance Management
While this role has no direct reports, it is critical to manage relationships across various stakeholder groups, as well as internally within Canadian P&C Finance
Align individual performance goals to team and organizational goals.
Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with "Being BMO" model and aligned with BMO values.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
Management experience with financial statements, income statements, balance sheets - 5-7+years
Financial institution or banking group experience - 5-7+ years (Previous Stress Test experience is an asset)
Qualified or partly Qualified accountant
Proficient in Microsoft Office - specifically in PowerPoint & Excel (must be familiar working with large amount of financial data)

NICE TO HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
One of the following: CPA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent
Knowledge of existing BMO financial systems an asset: BPC (planning/forecasting tool), Insight, Smartview/Essbase & Anaplan etc
Project management skills an asset

SOFT SKILLS:
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong relationship management skills and an ability to establish conducive working relationships with stakeholders across different business groups
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and establish priorities
Critical thinking

EDUCATION:
University Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent
