The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Financial & Strategic Services department as the Manager of Strategic Services.
Reporting to the Director, Financial & Strategic Services, this position will be responsible is responsible for developing the vision for and implementing the Strategic Framework and supporting practices that set direction for alignment of strategic and business planning, as well as key management practices across the organization, to achieve desired outcomes and alignment with Community Vision and Pillars of Sustainability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or public administration is required with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with strategic and business planning and project and change management in public or private sectors in management consulting or corporate planning, and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Thorough knowledge and expertise of strategic planning, business planning, performance measurement, reporting, process redesign, project and change management, and facilitation techniques.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply a diverse range of business practices, legislation and policies and recommend options and alternatives.
Extensive training in business analysis and the management theory, coupled with strong facilitation, project, and change management experience, is highly desirable.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret insurance policies, claims documentation, and legal contracts.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade at different levels of the organization.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
Hours of Work
We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).
Compensation
The salary ranges from $122,177 - $148,236 per year, including a comprehensive benefits package with a Flexible Spending Account and Pension Plan.
Candidates not meeting the full qualifications may be considered for a development opportunity at a lower classification and salary.
