The Manager, Canada SEM supports keeping the overall strategic expense program on track by creating and maintaining an accountable and transparent environment and working alongside the program leadership team, and finance, business, and technology leaders. Reporting to the Program Director, Canada SEM.What you will doSupport the Canada Initiative portfolio management through budgeting, reporting, ensuring relevant governance bodies are kept informed and help optimize initiative investments at the Canada level.Ensure the full Canadian Initiative Governance (CIG) process is carried out thoroughly and accurately and incorporate applicable enhancements to the process.Work with the Strategy & Planning leaders across Canada to manage initiatives through the CIG gating process.Review and challenge initiative business cases to help optimize investments at the Canada level and to ensure initiative targets and measures of success are clear, appropriate, comprehensive, agreed to by all stakeholders, and reflected in financial plans.Management of the integrated pipeline of upcoming initiatives that includes several expense management initiatives from identification through planning to execution and value realization.Coordinate and track overall progress and conduct initiative progress reviews; maintain a portfolio view, coordinate the project plans from the Initiative Sponsors / Program Managers and integrate them.Provide program inputs and updates to Canada Strategy, Canada Finance, Audit, and other stakeholders as required.Foster collaboration between teams on the implementation of new expense management initiatives.Complex stakeholder navigation and engagement is required due to competing priorities.Coordinate and maintain 5-year expense forecasts for Canada, including regular Canada Executive reporting for in-year forecasts and other pertinent expense movements.What you will bringUniversity degree in businessMinimum 5 years of practical business experienceFinancial modeling and budget planning experienceStrong written and verbal communications skillsStrong networking and influencing skillsStrong relationship building skills; embraces and encourages collaborationUnquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity and trust; embraces a culture of trust and complete transparencyExperienced in conflict resolution and identification of synergies between programsOrganizational agility; experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business unitsStrong analytical capabilityStrong sense of ownership to ensure progress towards goals; results-orientedAbility to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced and fluid environmentAbility to adapt and draw from a range of experienceChallenger mindset and passion to challenge status quo to change \'normal\' way of thinking in the organizationGiven the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London, Winnipeg.-The base salary for this position is between $74,500.00 - $137,900.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
