  • In partnership with the broader Brand & Culture Communications team, Potash Business Unit leadership, and other core stakeholders across Canada, develop, and execute best-in-class, integrated communications strategies to deepen understanding of who Nutrien is, heighten the profile of the potash business, and demonstrate what we stand for among target audiences
  • Use a suite of internal and external communication tools to ensure that Nutrien is recognized as a great place to invest and to work, as well as a respected member of the community that contributes to the economic and community well-being of Saskatchewan, and across Canada
  • Create impactful storytelling materials and media pitches that bring our important role in the province and across Canada and the world to life and break through across various earned, owned and paid channels and opportunities
  • Connect and integrate across the potash business and related functions to uncover powerful stories that will resonate with our key external and internal audiences and demonstrate our culture, purpose and values in action
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with media, senior stakeholders and colleagues to manage proactive and reactive media relations for the EVP & President Potash and their leadership team as well as other key stakeholders in Canada
  • Help develop and execute internal and external communications in association with Nutrien\'s crisis management system
  • Provide external and internal communications counsel to the potash leadership team and other stakeholders in Canada, coordinating with our colleagues who do the same for our retail business
  • Draft and refine communications (speeches, memos, stories, social posts) for a variety of senior business leader engagements and community outreaches
What you will bring
  • A strong commitment to Nutrien\'s core values of safety, integrity, inclusion and results.
  • 8 or more years experience in corporate communications including executive, external and internal communications, media relations, social and digital communications, crisis and issues management
  • Bachelor\'s degree and post-secondary certification or degree in communications, public relations, or marketing
  • Demonstrated confidence, ease, and humility in interacting and working with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels in a large organization
  • Mining or agriculture sector industry experience
  • Experience working in a corporation, agency, or government role providing deep strategic communications expertise and counsel with measurable outcomes
  • Passion for quality with excellent attention to detail and drive for continued process improvement
  • Affinity for collaboration and proven experience leading cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Excellent writing skills across media, with commitment to developing differentiated narratives that captivate and inspire
  • Some graphic design skills
  • A familiarity with social media communications and design
  • Strong knowledge of internal communications and external media channels and platforms with proven planning and implementation experience
  • Creative and collaborative approaches to PR aimed at maintaining a robust presence in provincial and national media for Nutrien, its business, people, and work in the community
  • Critical thinking and exceptional judgment
  • Intellectual curiosity and appetite to understand the complexities of the current geopolitical and business landscape
