your track record for innovation and agility combined with property underwriting knowledge will be key to executing on ambitious strategies. You will motivate and manage a high performing team to achieve Intact's corporate and divisional objectives and sales targets. You will stretch your team with short and long-term goals surrounding growth, profitability, productivity and engagement. They will advance by your side as you inspire, coach and mentor them. For this journey, you will collaborate with, and report directly to, the Director of Specialty Solutions.

With this purpose in mind, you will:



Ensure profitable development and growth of commercial property insurance within Intact Insurance Promote and support the integration of Specialty Property operations and underwriting Apply effective pricing and underwriting in accordance with Company guidelines and personal underwriting authority limits Be a resource for brokers for resolving underwriting issues Provides technical advice and coaching to underwriters Actively advance specific, strategic growth plans for Specialty Property Participate in insurance industry functions and marketing events

What you bring to the table:



10+ years of underwriting experience or 2+ years of management experience within the P&C insurance industry Experience with risk-managed or large commercial accounts preferred Capable of managing remote employees including the ability to motivate, engage, and coach employees Effective analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills Superior organization and communication skills with the ability to respectfully work with all levels of the organization Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability Ability to make independent decisions within mandate + Preferred: CIP designation and / or relevant post-secondary degree or college diploma No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
