We are looking for a Manager, Services Projects Portfolio to join our Bids and Projects team in Toronto!
The successful candidate will be responsible to efficiently manage a team of Services Project Managers and to work with Director Services Bids and Projects to develop and direct Service Account/Project Managers to achieve the business goals of the Urban Rail Signaling Business Line of Hitachi, especially as they relate to the existing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:Manage a team of Services Project Managers who manage the Customer Accounts, Order intake and Projects: + Develops the aspects of the CAMs (Customer Account Manager / Services Project Managers) responsible for the correct execution of their activities, with emphasis on Customer satisfaction and performance
+ Management of Services Bids and Projects
+ Accountable for Service OI/Sales/Cash budgeting, forecasting, reporting and meeting targets
+ Ensures that effective (tailored yet process-compliant) project planning, monitoring, and controlling capability are executed for Maintenance Contracts and Services Projects
+ Ensures POIs resource loading are up to date
+ Supports effective cooperation and teamwork with onshore delivery/project entities
+ Ensures optimal deployment, maintenance and improvement of tools and processes
+ First-point of escalation and issue resolution for capture/bid/project activity
+ Ensures adherence to all approval and governance sign off for bids/contract/order/PO/IGA
Works in close collaboration with the various stakeholders of the Services activity: + The Services Business Development team, supporting the Capture/Bid activities and ensuring adequate planning mapping Order Intakes and Workload
+ The Projects Organization for infrastructures to ensure synergies and continuity
+ The Project Management Office to ensure coherence of practices in terms of reporting, cycles and metrics
+ The other departments (Engineering, Deployment, etc.) to secure resources, products & solutions, but also to promptly escalate to the appropriate discipline management level issues that cannot be handled
+ The "city strategy" teams supporting overall Service support strategy and bid/project delivery support for City Markets
Support Director, Services Bids and Projects to manage the performance and the continuous improvement of the Service Delivery Team + Mentoring the development of the new Services Project Managers
+ Coordinate Maintenance Contracts and Services Projects Operation Reviews and Performance Oversight
+ Help in rolling out company initiatives at Service Delivery team level (e.g. SharePoint, Salesforce)
+ Manage overall Warranty and Services project handover readiness and process implementation
+ Analyses customer feedback, performance indicators, operating reports. Produces and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
+ Compares KPI with targets set internally and externally
+ Identifies sources of improvement and their priorities, which might be converted into product or system change by the Engineering group
+ Contributes to continual service improvement to gradually improve the quality of the service provided as perceived by the Customer or to reduce the associated cost


Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree In Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent degree Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience 3-5 years of Bid Management experience: lead of preparation of formal bid/Vos and contract negotiation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent Leadership and Managerial skills Strong organization and negotiating skills Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:Project Management certification (PMP) Professional Engineer's Licence (P.Eng.) Team mentoring experience CBTC Engineering Management experience Knowledge of rail industry and technology Customer service and marketing/sales experience Obsolescence management experience Hitachi SelTrac knowledge MS Project, Primavera experience
