TITLE: SALES TRAINING MANAGER

REPORTING TO: NATIONAL SALES DIRECTOR

POSITION BASED AT THE LAVAL OFFICE.

Reporting to the National Sales Director, this person will be accountable for the development and implementation of training plans, programs and processes to support the Pharma Business unit.

Position Description:

  • Partner with marketing, sales, and operations to identify training needs and recommend solutions.
  • Develop, implement and facilitate training workshops as required for National Sales Meetings and other meetings that may be necessary as determined by the commercial teams.
  • Co-travel with new and current sales personnel to assess, coach and better understand field development opportunities across Canada
  • Assist in creating a measurement strategy and sustainability process before and after programs/initiatives
  • Identify, design, create and facilitate effective content that improves the desired competency level of Regional Sales Managers and representatives
  • Responsible for coaching, developing and utilizing the field champion representatives in on-boarding new hires and in new hire training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze performance gaps and develop training initiatives to drive results
  • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered.
  • Plan, organize and facilitate new hire and ongoing training programs
  • Become product expert on assigned promoted and competitive products
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years in industry as a sales professional
  • Previous Sales Training experience, corporate and/or field-based is preferred
  • Completed courses/certifications in training field including adult learning principles
  • Strong project management skills required
  • Strong cross-functional skillset
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated and self-directed
  • Strong verbal, listening, written communications and facilitation skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act decisively
  • Ability to serve as a role model/mentor/coach to new and tenured representatives
  • Up to 30% \xe2\x80\x9cfield time\xe2\x80\x9d required
  • Demonstration of sustained, high performance in current position and a strong aptitude for sales training
  • Demonstration of high emotional intelligence
  • Bilingual English/French required
