The Safety & Health Capability Training Manager is a newly created position that will be instrumental in McCain\'s Safety Transformation. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, implement, and maintain the Health & Safety Competency and Training strategy for the NA Region. This will involve using McCain\'s Learning Management Training platform systems to create or align training content that supports the 15 plants, 5 warehouses, agriculture operations, laboratories, and three office locations across NA.

The Safety & Health Training Capability Manager will be responsible for creating training content, delivering it to employees, and supporting policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives that promote a culture of sustainable and consistent safe work performance. This role will enable a learning culture in McCain\'s Safety Transformation, ensuring that employees have the necessary skills and information to work safely from on-boarding to every interaction at work.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a subject matter expert (SME) in training health and safety, with extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of occupational health and safety (OSH). They will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs and materials that educate employees on how to work safely and avoid workplace hazards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement safety training program content within LMS that ensures compliance with regulatory and program requirements aligned legal requirements and internal policies and programs.
• Creates and maintains NA health and Safety Training calendar and cadences that ensures compliance and optimal execution across the NA Region
• Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational challenges or regulatory changes that require training methods.
• Performs skills assessments, analyzes learning needs, and develops training materials/ programs designed to meet those needs in support of the NA Region (15 factories and three office spaces).
• Leading role in aligning and recommending visual management and communication content aligned with policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
• Establish and maintaining a training budget to achieve milestones and goals, while adhering to it implement training standards and measures (key performance indicators) that support compliance, safe behaviors.
• Ensures training materials are current and updated and communicated across the region.
• Tracks the success of training materials and programs, and makes improvements
• Delivers training programs to target audience within the local manufacturing plant and corporate environment.
• Fosters the development of internal subject matter experts through Train-the-Trainer program to leverage internal training resources and promote knowledge transfer within the organization
• Provides primary support for new technologies as they become available, coordinating with local training resources, relevant corporate functional teams such as OD, HRBP\'s, Safety Managers and Office Experience Leads.
• Control training expenses and manage expenditures to meet the training needs
• Supervise & direct Training Facilitator activities

• Ensures the implementation and effectiveness of an onboarding of employees across all locations.
• Oversees the daily activities of training associates and consultants.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Ensures compliance requirements are identified and leverages a tracking/adherence to plan system
• Creates a process and method for creation of training matrices with recommended training by role and position
• Adopts best practices and aligns content across the NA Region on Safety Compliance and Topics

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

• 5-7 years\' experience in the field of training and development and subject matter expertise in the area of Safety Compliance and Capability Building
• Bachelor\'s degree in communications, H&S or related area preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
