We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support the risk and compliance oversight of the Workplace Solutions business, with a focus on Group Benefits Business including Group Creditor Insurance. As Manager, Risk and Compliance, you will assist in executing second line of defense responsibilities, supporting the implementation of regulatory and operational risk programs, and providing subject matter expertise to business partners and peers across Canada Operations.
Reporting to the Director, Risk and Compliance, you will work closely with the first line of defense to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and strengthen the risk culture across the business.
What you will do:

• Support the execution of second line of defense activities, including monitoring, oversight, and challenge of operational risk and regulatory compliance practices within the first line of business.
• Assist in interpreting and applying OSFI Guidelines E-21 and E-13, as well as relevant provincial regulations, to ensure business alignment with regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with risk and compliance program teams and first line partners to implement frameworks, tools, and processes that support effective risk management.
• Contribute to the review of business initiatives, identifying potential compliance and operational risk impacts, and recommending appropriate controls.
• Prepare and maintain risk and compliance reports, dashboards, and documentation for senior management and governance forums.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support the business in assessing and implementing required changes.
• Promote a strong risk and compliance culture by supporting training, awareness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk, or internal audit within the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with OSFI regulatory guidelines, particularly E-21 and E-13, is an asset.
• Professional certification or designation in risk, compliance, or governance (e.g., CRCM, GRC, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with risk and compliance systems is an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $89,100 - $155,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
