Accountable for oversight and service delivery for all Finance Services Revenue processes and people. Responsible for revenue processes in the Finance services group, with a focus on maintaining accurate client account information and overseeing communications on a regular basis with clients in order to provide them with current account status and to avoid delinquency.
What you will deliver:
Primary Focus:
Work closely with stakeholders from Finance, Operations, FA&A and Tenants
Accountable for maintaining accounts receivables per company objective standards by ensuring the timely collection of all rents
Oversee the maintenance of rent roll and associated charges in finance system per lease agreement
Manage production of and review an up-to-date record of all negligent accounts by preparing a variety of accounts receivable reports and letters such as, but not limited to, account statements and correspondence to each tenant, doubtful accounts, write-offs, and proof of claims
Provide oversight to processing of all client billings, rental notices and parking income including year-end notices through finance systems on a timely and accurate basis and forward to all clients to ensure the availability of all relevant information and to limit the possibility of outstanding accounts
Develop and maintain good working relationships with critical internal and external clients
Oversee responses to inquiries from clients by working with Lease Administration to ensure accuracy of billings addressing discrepancies and making necessary adjustments
Consolidate, analyze and issue company sales reports to Executive team
Oversee Sales Audits, reviews findings and follow up with Tenants on action items where necessary, ensure cost of audit is charged back where appropriate
Coordinate and manage monthly tasks including but not limited to estimate reconciliation, post-closing cash report, percentage rent billings, percentage rent accruals and tenant charge backs and liaise with stakeholders creating process improvements where necessary
Oversee the preparation of 5th of the month analysis of outstanding Rent to ensure company objectives have been met
Manage accounts receivables comment reports by ensuring status of outstanding amounts have been categorized by type allowing effective management of outstanding amounts by reviewing Rent Rolls, Billings and Tenant Lease documents for compliance
Train and manage Revenue Analyst on company policies and procedures, reviewing their work, and providing feedback to achieve efficiencies and effectiveness of Accounting Principles
Manage prepaid account ensure applications are managed timely and accurately
Oversee year end billing distribution ensuring timely issuing
Management of Tenant Portal subscriptions ensuring training support is provide to Tenant
Coordinate and prioritizes through communication with accounting team, setting deadlines and making decisions to enable the Operational and Accounting Shared Services teams to meet their goals
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Through the provision of regular feedback in the form of status meetings, objective setting sessions, performance appraisals, coaching and counseling, and formal presentations:
Review and oversee work performed by Revenue Analysts for accuracy and quality
Provide training, support and coaching to other Shared Services team members, Finance team and other stakeholders as needed
Functional Responsibilities:
Review of revenue related journal entries for all activity and transactions to ensure in accordance with accounting policies and internal control requirements
Participate in Finance Services team by helping other members with decision making to allow the shared services team to meet its responsibilities
Ensure documentation to support transactions and activities is in accordance with company policies and requirements
Ensure that key controls over Revenue are operating effectively for their team
Input to design of consolidated reports as required
What your strengths are:

Computer literate and proficient in use of Yardi, Microsoft suite, and Google Suite
What you need to succeed:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business, CPA accreditation or progress towards designation is a plus
Minimum 4 years in a managerial role
5 years' experience in an Accounting or Billings position
Experience in Real Estate and/or Property Management
Fully literate with real estate accounting policies and procedures
