The Manager for Rehabilitation Services is responsible for all aspects of planning, organizing and directing the delivery of patient care services in the Rehabilitation Care Units and to the patients requiring rehabilitation services from occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech/language pathology, social work, nursing, (clinical dietitians), and others in the Central and North Island areas of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, specifically at the West Coast General, Nanaimo Regional General and Campbell River Hospitals.
This position provides leadership in the delivery of patient care with a focus on coordination and integration of care across the program areas. It ensures a regional perspective in access to care and allocation of resources. Manages, directly and through delegation, the professional and clinical practice of staff, the quality of care and ensures departmental policies and procedures comply with professional, legal, and VIHA standards.
