What You'll Do



The Manager - Rehabilitation Services participates in designing, planning, implementing, monitoring and assessing assigned rehabilitation services, across both community-based and school-based settings. The incumbent may oversee Integrated Team Services (HITS) within the Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk catchment areas, supporting high-quality, family-centred care and inter-professional collaboration.

In coordination with the Director of Client Services and team members, implement program goals and an operational plan for assigned programs.

Facilitate representation and advocacy for assigned programs within the community and with educational partners.

Monitor system activities and meet Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS deliverables) annually.

Monitor and adjust community outreach activities including planning and scheduling information sessions, screening sessions, presentations and therapy in child care settings and schools.

Coordinate the development of educational programs for caregivers and community partners.

Support family-centred care and inter-professional practice while assuming responsibility for the model of service.

Monitor the effectiveness and timeliness of programs and service efforts, making recommendations and taking action to increase effectiveness.

Assist Director of Client Services in monitoring achievement of program goals and the operational plan. Take action as appropriate.

Work in collaboration with the Director of Client Services and others regarding services, staff and program issues and provide suggestions for resolution. Responsible for maintaining a high level of employee engagement and promoting a healthy organizational work culture.

Hire, orient, train, evaluate, reward, discipline and terminate in consultation with the Human Resources Director and Director of Client Services.

Responsible for the training and development of staff within the area(s) of responsibility.

Responsible for orientation and mentoring assigned employees.

Prepare, post, and maintain all departmental work schedules for those supervised.

Oversee task assignment, completion and workload distribution for assigned employees.

Conduct regular feedback interventions with all direct reports.

Conduct regular supervision with staff; ensure that performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.

Education, Qualifications and Certifications



Completion of a Master's Degree (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or relevant Core Rehabilitation discipline.

Valid membership with the applicable Ontario College.

Further post-secondary education in healthcare administration or management is considered an asset.

Experience and Knowledge



Minimum of five (5) years of prior related experience in Health or Human Services.

Experienced people-leader of multidisciplinary teams considered an asset.

Understanding and support for the mission and purpose of Lansdowne Children's Centre and its implications as related to position responsibilities.

Pay: $83,230.00-$102,295.00 per year
