Job Summary
Carlisle Technology is seeking a dynamic and organized Manager, Project Operations to lead a team of Customer Implementation Specialists and oversee the successful delivery of technical projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of our clients. The Manager, Project Operations will manage timelines, resources, customer relationships, and project plans while tracking performance and mitigating scope creep. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Software Development, Hardware Service, and Software Service teams to align priorities and drive project success in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Customer Implementation Specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Oversee scheduling, training, and professional development to ensure the team is equipped to handle technical project requirements.
Project Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and resolving issues to maintain strong client relationships.
Resource Management: Coordinate and schedule resources across projects, including personnel, tools, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and meet project demands.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our internal Sales, Supply Chain, Software and Hardware teams to set project goals, align priorities, manage resources, and ensure each project runs smoothly and meets the project objectives.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on project performance metrics, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Communication & Reporting: Provide clear, regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and progress. Track expenses against budgets to ensure financial transparency and communicate key billing milestones to clients and internal teams to maintain alignment and drive project success.
Scope Management: Proactively manage project scope, identifying and mitigating scope creep to ensure alignment with agreed-upon objectives and deliverables.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine project management processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and scalability in a project-based organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (PMP or equivalent certification is a plus).
5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing technical teams.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex, technical projects from initiation to completion.
Strong understanding of software and hardware implementation processes, with experience in a technology-driven environment.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach to relationship management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities in a project-based organization.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies.
Experience in a technology or IT services company, particularly with customer-facing implementation projects.
Knowledge of resource scheduling and capacity planning.
Strong analytical skills for tracking project performance and identifying actionable insights.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
