Corix is seeking a motivated, self-starting Project Manager to lead the planning, design, construction, and execution of District Energy projects of varying scope, size, and complexity.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in managing capital projects from concept through completion, ensuring seamless delivery and operational excellence. You'll contribute directly to advancing Corix's low-carbon District Energy initiatives across BC and North America.

Major Accountabilities
Provides complete oversight and management of assigned project(s) throughout the entire lifecycle--from development and planning through design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Manages, forecasts, reports, and controls all project-related costs, including contracts with external consultants and contractors, as well as internal project management expenses.
Offers technical design and construction guidance to maintain project momentum and meet schedule deadlines; provides timely and clear direction, decisions, and solutions to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
Exercises sound judgment and problem-solving in addressing project decisions, changes, and challenges related to scope, schedule, cost, stakeholder relationships, communication, and technical or construction issues.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders, align expectations, and resolve conflicts proactively.
Supervises, trains, and mentors Project Coordinators, fostering a safe and secure work environment and supporting personal and professional growth within the team.
General Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and complex project schedules using Microsoft Project.
Develop comprehensive project budgets, including order-of-magnitude estimates, cost forecasts, and budget reports.
Manage all project contractual documentation (e.g., RFI, SI, CCO, CO, CD, CN, and CO logs).
Prepare and negotiate contracts and amendments with architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and developers.
Ensure effective and efficient communication among all project team members and stakeholders; proactively manage expectations and resolve potential conflicts.
Make informed project decisions and adapt to dynamic situations with confidence and sound judgment.
Monitor and control project schedules, ensuring all design and construction milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Provide technical review and meaningful feedback on consultant deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Maintain high standards of quality and performance throughout all phases of project execution.
Actively monitor construction progress through frequent site visits to verify work progress, identify risks, and address challenges.
Oversee site health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring all project-specific permitting, licensing, and regulatory requirements are met.
Review and approve monthly progress draws and invoices promptly and accurately.
Perform other related duties as required.

Experience & Education
Mechanical, Civil, Process / Chemical, or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent engineering or construction related qualification.
Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible to join a professional organization e.g., EGBC.
5+ years related experience in engineering, project management and construction related fields and industries.
Preference given to those with building engineering experience (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
PMP certification would be an asset
