Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager, Project Engineering to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering engineering excellence across a portfolio of nuclear component projects.
In this role, you will provide technical direction, manage project execution, guide Engineering Leads and Analysis Engineers, and drive process improvements that support our strategic objectives.
This position reports directly to the Director, Components Engineering and plays a critical role in ensuring the successful design, analysis, and delivery of nuclear components to our customers.

Your Day to Day as our Manager, Project Engineering:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineering professionals to deliver on strategic goals with accountability and technical excellence.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure high-quality and timely execution.
Oversee the engineering and design of nuclear components--including steam generators, heat exchangers, and pressure-retaining equipment--ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with internal partners across Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Proposals to deliver innovative and competitive engineering solutions.
Provide expert technical guidance, review engineering documentation, and support resolution of complex design, manufacturing, and materials challenges.
Support proposal development and bid activities with accurate engineering estimates and technical insight.
Champion continuous improvement, new product development, and modernization initiatives to maintain BWXT's leadership in nuclear component engineering.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary engineering degree with 10+ years of experience in the nuclear field, including leadership, supervisory, or project management responsibilities.
Strong technical expertise in pressure vessel design and manufacturing, with deep knowledge of ASME/CSA codes and standards.
Proven experience leading technical teams to achieve project milestones and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across multifunctional teams.
Demonstrated leadership in delivering on both customer expectations and broader corporate strategy.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $138,000 and $187,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
