We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.The RoleReporting into the Director, Procurement, Contracts & Material Management, this position is located at the Saskatoon Corporate office. Cameco is looking for a motivated, team-oriented professional who values integrity, safety and the environment and strives to incorporate those values into their everyday achievements.In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement project procurement plans to support project schedules. Manage procurement utilizing the appropriate process (RFP, reservation, etc.) and systems to align with project needs for all capital projects that occur in Saskatchewan and Ontario.
  • Oversee all contract negotiation and manage all claims and contract administration. Coordinate and lead within larger project team, provide direction to the project procurement team on department objectives.
  • Provide the team with guidance, mentorship and set expectations. Manage the team\'s workload and resource requirements to meet project objectives. Manage and communicate with stakeholders in various Cameco departments.
  • Develop and update all processes related to project procurement, including bidding, execution of a contract, PO release, PO change management, contract development and amendment. Ensure these processes are aligned with communicated to Stakeholders in Saskatchewan and Ontario.
  • Ensure corporate procurement processes are followed safely and ethically by all team members as well as other departments including engineering and project controls. Report all non-conformances and provide the necessary level of risk mitigation for work done outside of the company processes and procedures. This will include training, education and monitoring activities done by others.
Required:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in commerce/business or engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in various areas of Supply Chain Management, with at least eight years in procurement on major capital projects.
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
Recommended:
  • SCMP, CCA, Peng, PMP certification is considered an asset.
