Overview

Are you interested in leading a team that manages communications from Prevention\'s key stakeholders, our workers, and employers?

As Manager, Prevention Support Services, you\xe2\x80\x99ll look after operations in the department and lead a team who identify and respond to mental health risk situations, provide support to injured workers and their families during periods of psychological distress, and serve as a resource to case management teams throughout the province. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for ensuring that goals and key performance indicators are met through promoting and fostering continuing quality improvement and creating a supportive work environment with open communication and teamwork.

This is temporary position for eighteen-months.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

  • Oversee Prevention Support Services operations for effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans, aligning activities to support objectives.
  • Foster a service-oriented approach, promptly addressing stakeholder needs and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with the management team in process and business planning activities.
  • Lead and manage staff, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and development planning.
  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC\'s safety policies, conduct inspections, hold meetings, and investigate accidents.

Your background and experience
  • A degree in a related field and 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 of experience in a call centre environment.
  • People management experience is an asset.
We\'ll consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
