Main accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for the reporting of business KPIs on a yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, and adhoc basis.
  • Provide Analytical support for the station operating budget.
  • Provide effective and timely financial information, business analytics, and insight to senior leadership to ensure the station is effectively meeting objectives.
  • Analyze station revenues to ensure that they are maximized and that all potential revenue opportunities are identified and considered.
  • AdHoc investigation, reporting, and analysis to support business units' operational performance.
  • Utilizing skills in big data analytics, data mining, requirements collection, analytics technology, and infographic design and presentations.
  • Responsible for the scheduling of base manpower and for ensuring that the required resources are in place to meet operational needs and that schedules are within budget and in alignment with CBA and Canada Labor Code for all WZ teams.
  • Coordinate the development of the long-term manpower plans based on flight schedules.
  • Evaluating all flight schedules, and identifying adjustments and time changes in existing schedules, ensuring all departments are set up to successfully execute the operation.
  • Developing and present strategic analysis of flight schedules and planning to the Director - YYZ and senior leaders to support decisions on major strategic initiatives and tactical initiatives to support season flight schedules.
  • Improving efficiency through automating processes and improving data management and output with future planning initiatives in YYZ.
  • Provide reporting to leaders of functional areas on actual hours used to forecast and report to the Senior Manager on any variances.
  • Monitoring team size and complement and providing forecasting to station leadership to ensure that the base has the required manpower and backfill in all positions to account for peak season demands, turnover, unplanned absences, and base growth.
  • Responsible for forecasting the Training and creating and supporting all base training platforms to ensure all positions onboarding/training is planned and delivered, and all base specific training initiatives, corporate training programs, are delivered.
  • Lead and motivate team by conducting regular one on one meetings, deliver performance management and coaching as required.
  • Work closely with Training to ensure there are adequate resources, classes, and training spots available for initial, recurrent, or quarterly training initiatives.
  • Monitor and staff long term vacancies as required, plan absenteeism and return to work programs.
  • Ensure data quality in the Time and Attendance system to facilitate accurate efficiency reporting and Manage staff reliability program.
  • Ensure that all vacancies (i.e., vacation, sick) on the roster are communicated in a timely basis to the management staff to ensure proper planning each day.
  • Ensure that all hours allocated and accounted for, and rosters published are accurately recorded by the system for staff to ensure accurate payroll.
  • Ensures tasks are performed in accordance with the Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies.
  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as it applies to the job role.
  • Ensures that the documents received or issued are kept securely and in accordance with Airline's procedures and MA procedures and is responsible according to the law and the internal confidentiality regulation for the manipulated documents.
  • Prepare Rosters using Automated Systems or alternative.
  • Prepare monthly forecast for the hours that must be reported in the FLASH.
  • Prepare (when applicable) manpower calculations whenever in Tender processes or other business cases calculations requested by the Station Managers of Regional Management.
  • Other assigned duties by the Director - YYZ.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada
  • Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience University Degree in a Technical/Business/Scientific subject or equivalate work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of relational databases and reporting applications
  • Prior experience in similar role (airport environment) with ground handler/airline
  • Experience with RosterApps Time & Attendance application advanced Microsoft Office skills, proficient skills using Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to proactively take initiative and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Independent decision maker, excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and spoken English and superior presentation skills are key qualities for this role
  • Must have valid class G Driver's license in good standing
  • Must be able to hold and maintain all require airport security clearances
  • Must be flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays based on business needs
  • Must be able to lift to 30lbs when required
