About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Policy, Planning and Clinical Virtual Care, and in close collaboration with the Manager, Policy and Planning, the Manager provides leadership and support to the Planning, Evaluation and Analytics Team. The Manager has provincial responsibility for strategic management and oversight of registration, reporting and analytics on identified indicators of MHA utilization as well as clinical and demographic characteristics of MHA clients. They will lead the team in support of attaining the goals and objectives for planning, information management and evaluation required for MHAP services, including optimization of business intelligence tools, access to, and use of, data and analytics to inform implementation of new and modification of existing services, enablement of evidence-based, data driven by decision-making and knowledge translation; proactive and responsive performance monitoring, and analytics to improve effective high quality services; activation of MHA reporting strategy for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related to MHAP service utilization; implementation of a comprehensive, collaborative and effective oversight structure; and enhancement of data integrity and reliability to improve confidence in, and use of data/indicators.

The Manager leads the MHA specific requirements related to booking, registration, wait times tracking, data collection processes, staff education on MHA use of IT specific technologies (e.g MHA training of OpNote), supporting the various data/tracking reporting requests received from MHA Program as well as other stakeholders. One of the key responsibilities for this role is to lead the development of clinical MHA specific documentation templates in existing technologies as well as transition to One Patient One Record (OPOR). The Manager has responsibility to identify issues that have potential or actual impact on patient safety and quality care and develops monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and monitoring key performance indicators.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a health discipline (e.g. health information management, health informatics, health data analytics) and 5 years of related progressive leadership experience including experience in hiring/staff selection
  • Master\'s degree in health or related field preferred
  • Progressive leadership experience including experience in hiring/staff selection.
  • Mental health or addictions experience considered an asset
  • Consideration will be given to those with relevant education / experience equivalents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health/addictions care delivery systems in various hospital and community settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accreditation, HIS and MIS standards and how to apply them to the MHAP.
  • Expert level knowledge and skills related to data analysis, statistical manipulation, interpretation, and knowledge translation, drawn from multiple source systems to effectively prepare information to meet the needs of the various levels of leadership and to monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of respect that supports safety, ethical practices, cultural awareness and organizational health.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and clients
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Evidence of the ability to understand and apply the principles of knowledge exchange and change management to support change within the service

Compensation and Incentives

$41.47 - $51.84 Hourly
