The Position
As an active, collaborative, key member on the Philanthropy team, the Manager of Planned Giving and Estates, plays an integral role in ensuring the success of Plan Canada\'s operational and marketing work that drives successful fundraising activities in this high-growth portfolio. As a core driver in Plan International Canada\'s strategic plan, the Philanthropy team is focused on high impact and transformational giving opportunities for donors and stakeholders to support children, especially girls, realize their full potential.
We are looking for an estate administration and planned giving champion who will foster a systems-based approach to the administration and promotion of Plan International Canada\'s evolving planned giving program.
What success looks like?
Build positive relationships with donors, prospects and allied professionals across Canada that lead to confirmed expectancies and increased in-life philanthropy;
Lead estate administration, building efficient systems and processes to build, steward and execute on planned and strategic giving; utilizing technical skills to efficiently execute approx. 100+ open estate files and 200+ newly confirmed expectancies annually.
Develop and gain internal support for efficient and integrated systems, SOPs and business rules that reflect industry best practice and support long term growth of the planned giving program;
Integration and automation of reporting tools, CRM and Power BI to articulate the growing Planned Giving pipeline; manage and report on operational elements of Planned Giving including - operational plans, financials, KPI reporting to leadership and board
Execute on-going bequest marketing and stewardship campaigns with internal marketing team and manage our vendors; Lead internal and external promotional opportunities for growth by integrating the planned giving message into various marketing channels throughout the organization.
As our ideal candidate you will have:
A passion for planned giving and for engaging our loyal supporters about children\'s rights and gender equality.
Attention to detail and commitment to executing with excellence along with 3-5 years experience in estate administration in a national/complex non-profit, financial enterprise or legal capacity with the ability to advise on legal/ethical requirements and evolving industry best practices.
Understanding of and/or ability to learn Salesforce CRM, Power BI and other digital tools.
Solution-oriented mindset with a passion for creating efficiency and excellence.
An adaptable work style; open to collaboration with diverse professionals; thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work culture.
