Manulife Investment Management is seeking a Manager, PE Fund Accounting to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

Execute the daily and monthly NAV oversight and ensure the overall accuracy of the portfolio accounting book of record.

Manage administrator duties and deliverables via internal tracker, report status, escalate delays, establish workarounds and solutions to ensure timely and accurate production of the monthly and quarterly client PE Fund reporting process in conjunction with the front office, finance, performance, and the administrator. Quality control and tolerance check all client reporting before publication to investors.

Production & review of Capital Calls, Distributions and re-balancing for Private Equity Funds.

Review of Carried interest and Management fee Calculations.

Review financial documents, supporting information and tax schedules.

Review of expense payment and outstanding accruals.

Adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Provide Admin data to support the front office, finance, compliance, and internal leadership requests.

Work with the technology teams to ensure data mapping and subsequent feeds to the administrator are sound for accounting system.

Strong contributions to projects, new initiatives, and technology development.

Working on bookings and review of accounting entries in accounting system.

What we are looking for:

5+ years of Alternative Investment Experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or operations.

Working knowledge of Investran accounting system is required.

Accounting or Finance degree.

Accounting for Alternative Investment Funds is a must. Private Equity Fund experience is highly desired.

Strong analytical skills.

Operations/Accounting experience with private debt, private equity, bank loans, fixed income, mortgages, real estate, oil and gas, and timber is a plus.

Must have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels and different functions throughout the organization and with external partners.

Strong planning, communication, and collaboration skills.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
