DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Visitor Experience, the Manager, Outdoor Activities will lead a team and be responsible for planning and implementing orientations for recreational activities and other public participation programs that are respectful to the environment, for Gatineau Park and the Quebec Urban Lands. You will develop procedures, policies and agreements to ensure proper management of revenue generating programs and maintain a network of contacts with regional and provincial stakeholders, volunteers and other user groups. You will act as an NCC spokesperson with the media, interest groups and the public and collaborate directly with the various NCC managers, particularly those responsible for environmental approvals, land management and operations and life cycle on various projects.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
University degree in management, recreation, natural sciences, tourism or in a related field to this position.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five (5) years of experience planning and managing outdoor activities, programs and projects.
