Position Summary


--------------------



The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe and effective execution of daily operational strategies. This role leads and allocates resources, ensures compliance with key processes, and drives performance across safety, quality, efficiency, and financial KPIs. The Operations Manager fosters a strong teammate culture and supports continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring product safety, quality, and legality.


Primary Responsibilities

Manage at least two full-time exempt direct reports, including hiring, coaching, development, recognition, and performance management up to and including termination. Direct all operational aspects of the facility across all shifts. Monitor and evaluate productivity goals daily to ensure targets are met. Promote and reinforce the company's teammate culture within the facility. Ensure attainment of production, quality, and safety objectives. Review and validate production and inventory reports for accuracy. Coordinate and ensure compliance with the Core Excellence Program; conduct regular audits. Plan, monitor, and manage departmental performance against budget, including staffing levels, overtime, and headcount. Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and shipment/loading precision. Implement process improvement programs using Quality Driven Management (QDM) methodologies. Support the General Manager with special projects as needed. Oversee daily activities of 40-100 team members; inspire performance in productivity, safety, quality, and teamwork. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize productivity and foster an inclusive work environment. Establish, maintain, and improve performance plans; identify and implement process improvements. Promote a safe workplace through training and accident preparedness initiatives.

Education and Experience


----------------------------


Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related operations discipline preferred. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a logistics environment. Experience managing WMS, QDM, LMS, P&L, and talent development.

Skills and Competencies


---------------------------


Demonstrated leadership with the ability to lead other leaders. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Experience with Six Sigma or quality management methodologies
