About This Opportunity

As Operations Manager a.k.a. Distribution Manager here at Coke, you will look after the Warehouse and Distribution operations for our Saskatoon Distribution Centre. This role will report into the General Manager and be based out of Saskatoon, SK

Responsibilities

  • Leading warehouse and distribution supervisors, personnel, and operations functions.
  • Recruitment of Staff, training, evaluation, and development of team members.
  • Leading and managing performance for On Time In Full and Stock Loss for the DC.
  • Working with Demand Planning, Production Teams, and Inventory Teams to ensure inventory levels are aligned to forecast and adequate product rotation is maintained.
  • Leading and identify improvement projects for the distribution centre.
  • Securing company assets.
  • Managing within labor and OPEX budget, with a particular focus on performance improvement initiatives that deliver against targets.
  • Collaborate, work as a team, listen, learn and value diversity in all forms.
  • Engage people, customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5-8 years related leadership experience operating in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record of leading teams in excess of 50 associates.
  • Experience of leading change and the application of continuous improvement processes in the workplace to deliver performance improvements.
  • Experience of ISO, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, WSIB, ESA and OHSA legislation.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization, its executive team, and customers.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Experience of partnering with a union and skilled in dispute resolution.
  • Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel).
  • Requires ability to stand for long periods.
