Position Description:
Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Training, the incumbent provides academic leadership, management and operational administration for support staff and continuing education students in the subject areas of responsibility. The incumbent is accountable for planning, development, delivery and on-going review of these continuing education programs and courses in a manner consistent with college policies and procedures. They oversee program-specific marketing campaigns including PPC and SEO. They are accountable for meeting revenue and enrolment targets. They liaise with corporate training clients and U.S. College partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery of courses and programs. They contribute to the strategic direction of the Centre for Continuous Learning, promoting the development of online technical training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides leadership in the development, design and delivery of departmental programs based on internal and external needs.
Works collaboratively in the development and implementation of the departmental and divisional plan as part of the college's Academic Strategy.
Maintains a high level of performance through effective recruiting, selecting, developing, motivating, evaluating and training of full-time and part-time tutorial and technical support staff.
Ensures annual performance appraisals for staff and encourages professional development activities.
Maintains an ongoing course and curriculum review process to ensure quality, currency and relevancy of offerings.
Responsible for implementing initiatives established by the college and/or government related to departmental programming.
Manages relationships and liaises on behalf of George Brown College to deliver online courses through U.S. partner colleges. Ensures that requirements are executed according to contract.
Resolves problems related to administrative activities for the delivery and support of online courses including tracking participation (using CRM) and preparing reports on revenue/enrolment and providing guidance to partner colleges for their recruitment strategies.
Works with departmental tutorial and technical support staff to ensure they understand the expectations of their job duties and provides mentoring and guidance as required.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
Master's degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institute in relevant area.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in curriculum development, budget planning, and enrolment management.
Skills and Attributes:
Background in marketing and program management.
Thorough understanding of the principles and practices of Adult Education.
Excellent conflict resolution, budget planning, course and program development, and computer software (Excel spreadsheets, CRMs) skills.
Broad leadership skills managing a diverse team of experienced individuals.
Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.
Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
