HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reporting to the Director, Regional Renal, Metabolic and Oncology Programs, the Manager, Oncology is responsible for program development, planning, coordinating and monitoring the smooth operation of the Oncology program. PRHC Cancer Care is a partner of Durham Regional Cancer Care (DRCC). The manager is responsible to collaborate with DRCC and well as other partners within CE- Regional Cancer Care to ensure standardization of processes where possible. The manager collaborates with Cancer Care partners on development of shared initiatives and projects mandated by OH- CCO Ontario Health Cancer Care Ontario. The manager is accountable for the operations, quality/risk, human resource and fiscal management of the Oncology portfolio including onsite support and integration and coordination of clinics for the Oncologists, Hematologists and Radiation Oncologists who work at both DRCC and PRHC. The manager co-manages the Radiation Suite with the DRCC manager and together work to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of Radiation Clinic. The Manager participates in the development of policies and procedures and in the development of the Oncology program in accordance with OH CCO - / CE Regional Cancer Program standards, PRHC's strategic initiatives and objectives including meeting industry professional practice and quality standards (i.e. Canadian Health Services Accreditation Standards (CCHSA), College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)). She/he is responsible for quality improvement programs, patient and staff safety programs in collaboration with the Director and front-line staff. Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a key expectation of the role. In addition to supporting the PRHC Oncology program, the Manager works in collaboration with the Central East Regional Cancer Program management and physicians.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
o Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or other applicable program (Masters preferred)
o Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) (in good standing) or other applicable regulatory college
o One to three years of leadership and/or management experience in an inter-professional clinic setting is preferred.
o Five years of leadership and/or management experience in related outpatient cancer care preferred.
o Experience working with QBP funded programs preferred.
o Experience managing in an out-patient setting preferred.
o Completion of OHA management courses (or equivalent) are considered an asset
